How to Stay Motivated to Study? Start with Stationery!

It is always a challenge for anyone who has been studying for so long to continue to be motivated. We all know the end goal of graduating is getting good work opportunities. But, at some point in our lives, we hit a brick wall and lose our motivation.  It is essential to keep pushing and strive for our goals. So, how do we stay motivated to study?

How To Keep Yourself Motivated to Study

Write your ultimate goal

Admit it or not, we often lose track of the reason why we do the things that we do. Even in studying, you still find yourself losing your motivation even though you know at the back of your mind that you aim to graduate and have a good career.

To keep yourself aligned with your goals, you should get your stationery and list your target. Using your custom pen, you need to write your objectives. The more specific they are, the better the results will be.

You should write your target grade per subject and your average grade for the school year. By hitting milestones in your school life, you no longer have to wait for graduation to happen to celebrate achievements that you set for yourself. You can reward yourself by treating yourself every time you reach a milestone. It can be a ride to the cinema, a big ice cream, or anything that will make all your efforts truly fulfilling.

Study with your friends

Once you are finished with the goals that are written on your stationery, you should also encourage your friends to do the same. Having set similar goals will make studying easier for all of you.

Now, you can start planning your study routine with your friends. It is always great for someone else to push you to study more. And you also do the same for your friends. Motivate each other so that studying will be less of a burden and more of an enjoyable time for each one of you.

Remove distractions

What causes distractions while you study? Using your stationery, you can write them and post this on your bulletin or reminders board. This can be your phone, the television, or an invitation by your friends to go outside. By understanding your distractions, you are now well aware of what you need to avoid while you study.

Keep your phone away. Remove the plug of the television or set your phone to “do not disturb” to prevent the outside world from distracting you from your goal to study.

Take short breaks

If your eyes are tired, give yourself some time to rest. You can stand up. Get out of your room and have a short run just to get your mind away from your books. This also gives you time to recalibrate and refocus on the things that matter in your life.

After taking some time off, you can return to your seat and open your books and start studying again. You will find yourself re-energized and ready to memorize and answer the exams.

Go and pick up a book

You should just go and start studying. It may take a while but as you get the hang of it, you will be motivated again and develop your own flow of studying.
